Fast Facts
- A coeducational, private day school for students in PreNursery through grade 5. [Highest grade level increases each school year, with the pioneer class graduating grade 8 in 2014.]
- Devoted to individual education with an average teacher student ratio of 1 to 6 (depending on age of students).
- Founded in 2002 by Russian-Jewish parents who were not able to find an alternative private school option in Brooklyn for their children that catered to their educational goals for their children: strong academics, small class sizes, cultured enrichment classes, and Jewish education that supported children from religious to non-observant homes.
- Program builds proficiency in 3 languages: English, Hebrew, Russian. Lower School grades participate in Hebrew and Russian immersion programs.
- Supports all students - specializing in working with students who are gifted/talented - so that each child achieves high performance.
- In-school enrichment classes include: visual arts, music, physical education.
- Teachers are professional, warm, enthusiastic about education and all activitely involved in ongoing professional development to keep up with new and best teaching practices.
- Parent Association regularly plans school activities and raises on average $15-30k for yearly renovation projects.
- From the neighborhood and beyond: 60 percent of students are from Brighton Beach/Manhattan Beach/Sheepshead Bay area, the remainder from other Brooklyn neighborhoods.
