This Year, Mazel Has Grown in Amazing Ways:
- Secured a long-term lease for our school building.
- Expanded our space to include full-time access to floors 3, 4, 5, 6, and the gym!
- Announced the opening of our High School Division, beginning with 9th grade next school year.
- Renovated facilities, starting with 4th-floor bathrooms. (More updates to come—stay tuned for our capital campaign!)

Mazel Day School is a remarkable story of vision and perseverance. It began with inspired leaders who believed that the key to building Jewish identity among Russian Jews in America was through the education of their children.
From its humble beginnings with just a few dozen families, Mazel has grown into a thriving Blue Ribbon day school serving nearly 400 students in Pre-Nursery through Grade 8, supported by 52 dedicated teachers. Today, Mazel is a beacon of Jewish education for families from Russian, American, and Israeli backgrounds.
Mazel is not just a school—it is the foundation of a vibrant community, nurturing a proud Jewish identity and driving change for the Brooklyn Russian Jewish community.
