Tuition & Financial Aid

At Mazel Day School, we believe an exceptional Jewish education should be accessible to every family. We are deeply committed to both educational excellence and financial accessibility.

What does a Jewish education give my child?

In a world full of uncertainty, children need the strength that comes from a solid identity. A Jewish education equips them with the inner foundation to withstand peer pressure, negative influences, and life’s existential challenges. It gives them the confidence to stand tall, knowing who they are and where they come from.

Jewish education is about more than rules and rituals – it provides children with grounding and perspective for navigating life’s ups and downs. It fosters resilience, a sense of purpose, and the tools to face challenges with mindfulness and strength. Children grow with the understanding that they have a meaningful role to play and a mission that no external voices can diminish.

Jewish education helps children and families see that Judaism isn’t “all or nothing.” Every positive step, no matter how small, has immense value. G‑d focuses on the good we do, not on what we haven’t yet done. This approach encourages families to explore their heritage at their own pace, in a way that feels meaningful and manageable.

Our children’s souls cannot be ignored. They naturally seek spiritual nourishment and meaningful experiences. Their Jewish identity is an essential part of who they are and cannot be set aside – it must be nurtured and expressed.

Through the study of Torah, Hebrew language, Jewish history, traditions, and holidays, students come to understand the deep spiritual and historical ties between the Jewish people and Israel. This foundation fosters a personal sense of identity, pride, and responsibility toward Israel, inspiring a lifelong connection to our heritage and homeland.

Where our graduates go next

The process of applying to high school begins in the spring of seventh grade and continues in the fall of eighth grade. The educational leadership of the school work with parents and students to discuss and formulate a list of schools that are appropriate for the child to consider – whether independent or public schools.

Our six graduate classes are a diverse group of students – all of whom were accepted to top New York City schools of their choice. The list reflects the wide range of interests and the academic qualities of our students. These schools include high-caliber academic institutions with competitive admissions processes and stellar academic track record, e.g. Ivy League college admissions post-high school.

We are confident that with the foundation that Mazel Day School provides, our graduates are prepared to thrive at the next stage of their life journey.
